  • 78% of our clients are funded by federal, state and county monies, United Way; individual donations, grants, and special fundraising projects.  Most government funding does not reimburse us for the full cost of the meals.  In addition, governmental budgeting woes and the uncertainty of grants increases our need for private donations. The remaining 22% of our clients are “private pay,” meaning they pay anywhere from fifty cents to the full price of the meals, depending on their ability to pay. 

    Your generous donation will help cover the cost of daily meals for those in need. You can contribute at any time through memorial or honorarium gifts, bequests, by credit card, or simply by mailing us a check. Donations to Monroe County Meals on Wheels are tax deductible.

    For your convenience we are able to accept online donations
    using PayPal.

    • In memory or honor of a parent on Mother’s or Father’s Day
    • Through United Way
    • We receive matching donations from Bank of America, morgan Stanley and man other employers.  Ask if your employer does a match.
